Beautiful winery with a beautiful garden to sit in and relax. The staff was great, friendly and knowledgeable. However I wasn’t too big a fan of the wines, I’m more of a sweet wine drinker and most of what they have are all dry. But I truly enjoyed the atmosphere and ambience of the place.
Oldest winery in the area.. their white chenin blanc is a happy midpoint for people that like dry or sweet wines. Wine tasting is a little pricey but totally worth it! They have a great collection of plants in their front yard and it just soo peaceful to walk in the vineyards!
Laura did a great job explaining the notes and flavors of the wines on the prefixed wine tasting menu.
Always a pleasure to go to a wine tasting here! Make a reservation! They have a seasonal tasting menu and it’s all ready upon your arrival. They do offer small bites, but pro tip is to cross the street and eat at Salt Lick after your tasting. Reasonably priced and really delicious variety of wines. The staff is amazing and knowledgeable.
The wine was super good and the house is cozy and beautiful. Great vibes. Quiet, chill, comfy. Super friendly too!
Fall Creek Vineyards was located across from the Salt Lick BBQ at the intersection of FM 1826 and FM 967. I have always wanted to visit this place to see what was behind their gates. I am not a wine enthusiast who visits vineries often but I do enjoy drinking wine, and with all the wineries located near me I am exploring one at a time.
I drove in and was greeted by pink flamingos and a lush landscape with vines growing all around. It was a bit scenic and expect what a wineries should look like as a first impression. Upon parking I noticed plants under huge oak trees for sale including fruit trees like lemon and grapefruit. Some already had large ones hanging on them.
I entered the place and was greeted very nice by a staff member and told then I wanted to purchase a bottle of white and rosé wine. I was poured a few samples and did some wine tasting. This process was designed for a quick selection for bottle buying but had the option of sitting at a table, and have a more relaxing tasting experience while enjoying the outdoor scenery. I selected my choices.
I was told the whole process of wine making was done in Texas starting from growing the grapes to bottling. It was not a large winery but his place seemed to be an older ranch house transitioned into a place for wine tasting and event planning. There was even a swimming pool in the back and beautiful gardens in the front and back. I was just very organized with tranquility and with a friendly staff to make you feel very welcomed.
Lovely establishment that boasts vineyards, both indoor and outdoor seating areas, and a patio. The wine selection was excellent, and they also served delicious cheese and crackers. The prices were reasonable, and the staff members were exceptionally friendly.
Great winery with a beautiful surrounding, and a wonderful staff. The place can get real busy in the spring and fall when the weather is nice so make sure to make a reservation or go early to avoid the crowd. The wines are good, maybe not my favorite in Texas but definitely worth the stop, and the snacks on the menu are a perfect pairing.
I went here today after lunch and had the BEST service. Our server was very knowledgeable and kind as well as respectful by giving us a little space to taste the wine and take everything in. We had a tasting with great wines and stayed for a glass of our favorite. I definitely would recommend this for a date or just someone looking for some great wine in a beautiful place.
